Accio: A summoning charm; Used like this: Accio (Item Name)!

Alohomora: Unlocks doors

Anti-cheating spell: Self-explanatory 

Anti-Disapparation Jinx: a spell in which special invisible ropes bind your opponent(s) and disallow them to escape by disapparation.

Aparecium!: Makes invisible ink appear

Avanda Kedavara: The Killing Curse

Avis: Conjures birds

Babbling Curse: causes victim to babble

Banishing charm: sends an object away from the caster

Bat-Bogey Hex: causes an object to become covered in flapping things, Ginny Weasley is very good at performing this hex.

Bluebell Flames: creates a quantity of blue flame, which can be directed to a specific place

Bubblehead Charm: Causes what looks like an upside down fishing bowl to appear on your head. Can be used to breath under water.

Cheering Charm: Hermione did not think she did herself justice on the Cheering Charms on her Transiguration O.W.L.

Colloportus: seals a door so it cannot be opened with Alohomora

Confundus Charm: causes confusion. A person who is affected by this charm is said to be confunded.

Conjunctivitus Charm: a spell that affects the eyes and vision of the target

Crucio: The Cruciatus Curse is total pain to receiver of the curse

Curse of the Bogies: effect unknown

Cushioning Charm: (from Quidditch through the Ages) used on broomsticks, for a more comfortable ride.

Deletrius: Disintegrating spell

Densaugeo: Makes the victims teeth enlarge

Diffindo: causes a tear in an object, such as a bag

Disillusionment Charm: temporarily makes you a human chameleon, a cold feeling comes over recipient of the spell

Dissendium: Opens a secret passageway to Hogsmeade

Enervate: Revives someone who has been stunned

Engorgio: Enlarges objects

Evanesco: Makes something vanish, was used countless times by Snape in the 5th book, to wipe away all contents of Harry’s Potions

Expecto Patronum: Spell used to ward off Dementors. The caster must first think of a happy thought for the spell to be effective.

Expelliarmus: Disarms whoever the wand is aimed at

Extinguishing Spell: for controlling dragons and their fire

Ferula: Bandages a wounded body part on whoever the wand is aimed at

Fidelius Charm: Complex and powerful charm that hides a person or persons completely; their location is known only to the designated “Secret-Keepe”.

Finite Incantatem: Can stop mass commotion

Finite: Counter spell for Tarantallegra, and possibly other spells

Flagrate: Used to mark something with a fiery color

Flame-Freezing charm: Changes the properties of fire so that it’s heat feels like a warm breeze

Four Point Spell: Say “point me” and your wand will point north

Freezing Charm: Charm for freezing both inanimate and animate objects

Furnunculus Causes boils to appear on the skin

Horn tongue: conjures a horn on the target’s tongue

Hover Charm: cause an object to hover/float in mid-air, Dobby used this charm in the 2nd book.

Hurling Hex: A curse that could be placed on a broom, which would cause the rider to be thrown off, presumably 

Imperio: The Imperius Curse gives total control to the bearer of the wand.

Imperturbable Charm: To cause nothing to be able to pass under, through, around an object such as a door. To see if an object has been Imperturbed, throw something at what you think is a perturbed object. If the thing you threw doesn’t make contact then it’s been Imperturbed.

Impervious: Repels water from whatever the bearers wand is aimed at

Incarcerous: Ropes fly out the end of your wand and wrap tightly around what ever object your wand was pointing at.

Incendio: Creates flames

Inpedimenta: The Impediment Curse slows a object down

Jelly Legs Jinx: Causes that target’s legs to wobble uncontrollably

Locomotor Mortis! - Stops someone from moving their legs

Locomotor Trunks: was used to lift Harry’s trunk in the air in the 5th book

Lumos: Makes light come out of the end of the bearer's wand

Mobiliarbus: Hovers objects

Mobilicorpus: Creates invisible strings used to move things

MORSMORDE: Sends the Dark Mark into the sky

Muggle-repelling charms: Used to keep muggles away from ‘magical’ areas. One example would be that of Hogwarts which is bewitched so that if a muggle were to look at it all they would see was a rundown building, with a “Danger: Do Not Enter” sign on it.
