Diagon Alley

To have access to Diagon Alley, you must first go through a “famous place” called the Leaky Cauldron, which is a “tiny, grubby-looking pub”. Only witches and wizards can see the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron.

The Leaky Cauldron is very “dark and shabby”. Once inside, you must exit the bar and enter “into a small, walled courtyard, where there [is] nothing but a trashcan and a few weeds”. Then count 3 bricks up, and 2 across from the top of the trashcan, and tap three times on that brick with your wand.

“The brick [Hagrid] had touched quivered – it wiggled – in the middle, a small hole appeared – it grew wider and wider – a second later they were facing an archway large enough even for Hagrid, an archway onto a cobbled street that twisted and turned out of site.” “Welcome,” said Hagrid, “to Diagon Alley.”
