Abercrombie, Euan A Gryffindor student

Ackerly, Stewart A Ravenclaw student.

Agnes She is a patient, whose entire head is covered in fur, at St. Mungo's.

Agrippa A Chocolate Frog card character.

Alberic A Chocolate Frog card character.

Alphard Sirius's uncle. His name, like Sirius' has been removed from the Black family tree.

Aragog Was fed and raised by Hagrid when he was a child. He is the leader of the Acromantulas in the Forbidden Forest. He is also blind.

Archie An old man who was at the Quidditch World Cup who likes a healthy breeze around his privates.

Avery A Death Eater.

Baddock, Malcolm A Slytherin student.

Bagman, Ludo Used to play as a beater on the Wimbourne Wasps. He has also been accused of being a death eater and he commentated at the 422nd Quidditch World Cup. He is a heavy gambler and owes a lot of money to a group of Goblins.

Bagman, Otto Ludo Bagman's brother.

Bagnold, Millicent Was the Minister of Magic prior to Fudge.

Bagshot, Bathilda Author of A History of Magic.

Bane One of the many Centaurs that dwells in the Forbidden Forest.

Bell, Katie Was a chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

Binns, Professor The History of Magic teacher at Hogwarts. He is the only Hogwarts teacher that is a ghost.

Black, Mrs. Sirius' Mother; despises muggle-borns and non-full blooded wizards.

Black, Regulus Sirius' brother; Was a Death Eater who was killed upon orders from Voledemort.

Black, Sirius Harry's godfather who was wrongly accused of killing Peter Pettigrew and twelve other muggles. He spent thirteen years in Azkaban before he was able to escape. He is also an unregistered Animagus.

Molly and Sirius are cousins by marriage. Arthur is something like Sirius's second cousin once removed.


Bletchley The keeper for the Slytherin Quidditch team.

Bloody Baron The Slytherin House ghost.

Boardman, Stubby Lead singer of the Hobgoblins. The Quibbler reported in book 5 that some people believed he was Sirus.

Bole A beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team (Book 4).

Bones, Amelia Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She is also Susan Bones' (a Hogwarts student) aunt.

Bones, Edgar Member of the original Order of the Phoenix. He is Amelia's brother, and died during Voldemort's first reign of terror.

Bones, Susan A Hufflepuff student in Harry's year whose parents were killed by Voldemort.

Boot, Terry A Ravenclaw student in Harry's year.

Bott, Bertie Invented Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.

Branstone, Eleanor A Hufflepuff student.

Bryce, Frank The Riddle's gardener who was murdered by Lord Voldemort.

Brocklehurst, Mandy A Ravenclaw student in Harry's year.

Brown, Lavender A Gryffindor student in Harry's year.

Buckbeak Hagrid's hippogriff that injured Malfoy. Buckbeak was later saved from being beheaded when Harry and Hermione went back in time to save Sirius.

Bungy A Muggle water skier.

Bulstrode, Millicent A Slytherin in Harry's year. Hermione turned into her cat, when drinking the polyjuice potion in there 2nd Year. Hermione also dueled Millicent during their first Dueling Club meeting.

Cauldwell, Owen A Hufflepuff student.

Chambers A Ravenclaw Chaser in Book 5.

Chang, Cho Harry's first major crush; she is a year older than Harry and is also seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.

Circe A Chocolate Frog card character.

Clearwater, Penelope Head Girl at Hogwarts in Book 3. She is also Percy's Girlfriend (poor girl).

Cliodna A Chocolate Frog card character.

Corner, Michael Was at one time Ginny's boyfriend.

Crabbe, Vincent One of Draco Malfoy's unintelligent Slytherin friends. His father is a Death Eater.

Creevey, Colin He is fascinated with Harry and was petrified when the Chamber of Secrets was opened. He enjoys photography.

Creevey, Dennis Colin Creevey's younger brother.

Crockford, Doris A woman in the Leaky Cauldron that kept lining up to shake Harry's hand.

Crookshanks Hermione's big hairy orange/brown cat that was accused of killing Scabbers and helped Sirius get into Hogwarts. He is also part Kneazle.

Crouch Sr., Bartemius The deceased head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation.

Crouch Jr., Bartemius A Death Eater who tortured Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom and escaped from Azkaban only to lock up and impersonate Alastor Moody throughout Harry's 4th year at Hogwarts. He was administered the Dementor's Kiss in Book 4.

Dawlish A faithful Fudge follower (say that 10 times fast lol ).

Dennis One of Dudley's friends.

Dearborn, Caradoc Member of the original Order of the Phoenix. He eventually vanished and his body was never found.

Derrick A beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team (Book 4).

Derwent, Dilys St. Mungo's Healer 1722-1741, Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, 1741-1768. A portrait of herself resides in Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore had her search for Mr. Weasley when he learned a snake had attacked him.

Diggle, Dedalus McGonagall suspects that he set off fireworks on the day Voldemort was first defeated by Harry. He also meets Harry at the Leaky Cauldron when Harry goes to get his school supplies.

Doge, Elphias A wheezy voiced wizard who is a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

Dorkins, Mary A muggle news reporter.

Dolohov, Antonin A Death Eater who killed the Prewetts.

Dumbledore, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian He is the headmaster at Hogwarts and one of the most respected and powerful wizards of all time. He is famous for his defeat of the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945 and for the discovery of the twelve uses of dragon's blood. He enjoys chamber music and tenpin bowling.

Dumbledore, Aberforth Albus' brother, and member of the original Order of the Phoenix.

Dursley, Dudley Harry's fat cousin who is a mean, spoiled, bully. He is the only child of Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

Dursley, Marge Vernon Dursley's sister who has a particular distaste for Harry. She is described as "large, beefy, and purple-faced" with a mustache, "though not as bushy as [Vernon's]". She breeds dogs and her favorite dog is bulldog named Ripper.

Dursley, Petunia Harry's aunt who spends much of her time spying on her neighbors. She is Lily Potter's sister. Petunia is described as "thin and blonde and [she has] nearly twice the usual amount of neck".

Dursley, Vernon Harry's uncle who is the president of a drill company named Grunning's. He is described as "a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he [does] have a very large mustache".

Delacour, Fleur The Beauxbatons school champion. She is very beautiful and her grandmother was a Veela.

Delacour, Gabrielle Fleur's eight year-old sister whom Harry rescued from the depth's of the lake during the second task.

Delaney-Podmore, Sir Patrick The leader of the Headless Hunt club in which Nearly Headless Nick would like to be a member of, but cannot because he is not completely beheaded.

Derwent, Dilys Is a past Hogwarts headmaster & St. Mungo's Healer.

Diggory, Amos Cedric's father who is the head of the Department of Magical Transportation in the Ministry of Magic.

Diggory, Cedric One of the Hogwarts school champions. He was captain and seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. He was killed by Peter Pettigrew on the orders of Lord Voldemort near the end of book 4.

Dobbs, Emma A Hogwarts student.

Dobby Was the Malfoy's family house elf that Harry set free in Book 2. Dobby currently works at Hogwarts.

Edgecombe, Madam Marietta's mom who works in the Department of Magical Transportation in the Ministry of Magic.

Elladora Sirius' aunt who began the tradition of beheading old house elves.

Emeric the Evil Was mixed up with Uric the Oddball on a History of Magic exam.

Errol The Weasley's old and tattered family owl.

Evans, Mark A boy Dudley and his gang beat up in Book 5.

Everard Was a great Hogwarts headmaster. A portrait of himself resides in Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore had him search for Mr. Weasley when he learned a snake had attacked him.
