Splinter Cell

A Review by Claudia

This book is one of my favorites, it includes a lot of action, and somehow, you just can’t stop reading it until you finish it. Some people even asked me why I read the book if there was a video game about it, but the videogame has NOTHING to do with the book. If you have played the games (just like I have), then you know what a splinter cell is, if you are new to the Splinter Cell subject, a Splinter cell is a type of secret agent for the U.S. no one knows about the agency or its agents, The splinter cells have the right to spy, steal, destroy and assassinate to protect American freedoms. The agents (Splinter cells) are kept secret by all means, they interact with terrorists and sometimes stop them from creating attacks, they steal important files and spy on certain people to get information. Well, you already know what a splinter cell is, so we will go ahead and start talking about the main character of this books and, as it is in both games, is Sam Fisher, one of the best splinter cells there are, and he has been asked to get information from Iraqis who (as the U.S. government says) are planning an attack on the U.S, through the book, he is asked to go to different places, even countries to get the information that might proof this theory. The problem is, he gets too involved, and he might be risking one more life, other than his. As I have already said, this is one of my favorite books, there’s a lot of technology through out the whole book, since the Splinter Cells need the best technology and equipment there is, to all computer lovers, for you this book is a BUY, a MUST HAVE, all the technology will have you hoping and asking yourself if this agents really exist, and you, as I did, will hope that one day, there will be a job opening as a splinter cell. This are of course, the pros, but every books has its points off somehow, and this book, is certainly for people 15+, I wouldn’t advice anyone -15 to read this book because of the explicit content it has all over the book, a lot of violence is included too (since Sam Fisher has to kill many to get the files and information he needs) Of course the book’s rating applies to the games (the game’s rating is Mature), and many who play the game get interested in the book most of them are 15+… and yeah, who would Sam Fisher be without his so-darn-cool movements that sometimes cause death…? Sounds creepy, but I give this book two thumbs up (As again I say it… only if you are over 15 years old).
